Advertiser verification assistance

Advertising platforms ask advertisers to prove who they are. Where we manage advertising for you, we help you answer that request accurately. This page sets out exactly what our help includes, and what it will never include.

We explain what a platform is asking for, help you assemble accurate information you already hold, and check it matches your own records and your live site. We never create or alter documents, never present ourselves as the advertiser, and never promise that a verification will be approved.

01

What this page covers

Advertising platforms increasingly ask advertisers to verify who they are before ads can run, before certain categories are permitted, or before an account can spend at a particular level. Where we manage or support advertising for you, we are usually the ones who see that request first.

This page explains what our assistance with such a request consists of, what it deliberately excludes, and how responsibility is divided between you and us. It applies to any advertiser verification, business verification, identity verification, payment profile verification or similar programme run by an advertising platform, app store or analytics provider, whatever that platform happens to call it.

The short version

We help you understand what is being asked and assemble accurate information you already hold, and we check that it is consistent with your own records and your live website or app. We do not create or alter documents, we do not stand in your place as the advertiser, and we do not attempt to influence a platform decision.

02

What these programmes generally ask for

Requirements differ by platform, by country, by advertising category and over time, and they are set entirely by the platform. They can change without notice to you or to us. Nothing here should be read as a statement of what any particular platform requires today; the platform's published policy is the only reliable source for that.

In broad terms, verification programmes are concerned with three questions.

  1. 01Who is the legal entity or individual behind the advertising, and can that be evidenced from official records?
  2. 02Who controls the advertising account, and are they authorised to act for that entity?
  3. 03Does the advertised website, app or offer genuinely belong to that entity, and does it describe what is being advertised?

Because those questions are about your business rather than about ours, almost everything a platform asks for is material that only you can hold or obtain: a registration record, a tax registration, an identity document, a billing or bank record, or control of a domain. That is not an inconvenience in the process. It is the point of it.

03

The roles, defined

Verification forms almost always turn on which role a given party occupies. Confusing two roles is the most common reason a submission is rejected, so it is worth being precise before anything is filled in.

Advertiser
The business or individual whose products or services are promoted, and in whose name the advertising is presented to the public. In an engagement with us, this is you.
Agency
A service provider engaged to plan, build or manage advertising on the advertiser's behalf. Where we manage campaigns for you, we are the agency. We are never the advertiser.
Payer
The party whose payment instrument funds the advertising and who appears on the platform's billing record. Whoever that is, the platform must be told accurately, because billing records are one of the things verification checks.
Business owner or authorised representative
The individual with authority to represent the advertiser and to confirm that submitted information is true. For a proprietorship this is the proprietor personally, and no one else can stand in for them.
Website or app owner
The party that controls the advertised domain, store listing or app account. Verification frequently checks that this party and the advertiser are the same, or that the relationship between them is disclosed.

Where the roles genuinely differ

There is nothing improper about an agency managing an account, or about one business paying for advertising that promotes another, where that is what is actually happening and it is declared. Difficulty arises only when a form is completed to describe an arrangement that does not exist.

04

What we do

Our assistance is advisory and organisational. In practice it consists of five things.

  • We explain the requirement. We read the platform request and restate it in plain language: what is being asked, which role it relates to, and what would satisfy it. Where the request is ambiguous, we say so rather than guess.
  • We help you assemble information you already hold. We tell you which of your existing records appear relevant — your registered business name and address, your GST registration, the details on your billing record — and help you present them clearly and legibly. The records stay yours; you retrieve them and you supply them.
  • We check consistency before anything is submitted. We compare what you intend to submit against your own records and against your live website or app: business name, address, contact details, domain control and the description of what you sell.
  • We help correct genuine inconsistencies. Where something of yours is out of date or was mistyped, we help put it right so that the public record reflects reality.
  • We keep a record. We note what was submitted, by whom and on what date, together with the platform response, so a later request can be answered without reconstructing the history from memory.

Every one of those activities has the same character: making true information clear, complete and consistent. None of them involves us stepping between you and the platform, and none of them involves changing a fact to fit a form.

05

What we do not do

The following are absolute limits. They do not relax for a large account, an urgent launch or a long-standing client.

  • We do not create, alter, edit, retouch or supply documents of any kind on your behalf. We do not complete a registration record for you, and we do not modify a file that evidences your identity or your business — what you give us is passed on unchanged or not at all.
  • We do not submit our own identity, registration or address as the advertiser. MNF Infotech is a service provider; it is not the advertised business.
  • We do not substitute one business for another. We will not run advertising for an unverified business through a verified one, and we will not present a related or friendlier entity as the advertiser because it is easier to verify.
  • We do not bypass, circumvent, appeal around or otherwise game any platform process, and we do not advise you on how to do so.
  • We do not promise approval, a review time, a resubmission outcome or any other result.
  • We do not contact a platform pretending to be you, your business owner or your authorised representative. Where a platform requires the advertiser to speak for itself, you speak for yourself.
  • We do not advise you to withhold information a platform has asked for, or to describe your business as something other than what it is.

If information is not accurate, we stop

If we are asked to submit, endorse or stay quiet about something we know or believe to be inaccurate, we will decline and say why in writing. If the position is not corrected, we will pause the work rather than continue it. This applies regardless of the commercial consequences for either of us.

06

How the process runs

When a verification request lands on an account we manage, we work through it in the same order every time.

  1. 01We forward you the platform request in full, alongside a plain-language summary of what it appears to ask for and which role it concerns.
  2. 02You confirm the facts in writing: the legal name of the advertiser, the registered address, who the authorised representative is, and who is paying.
  3. 03We check those facts against your live website or app and against the advertising account as it is currently configured, then list every difference we find.
  4. 04Where a difference exists because something is out of date or was entered wrongly, we agree a correction with you and make it in the material under our control, so the public record reflects the truth.
  5. 05You retrieve and supply any records the platform requires, and you review the complete submission exactly as it will be sent.
  6. 06On your written confirmation, the submission is made through the account. We log what was sent and when, then pass the platform response back to you unedited.

Nothing is submitted before you have seen it and said yes. If we cannot reach you for that confirmation, the submission waits — including where waiting means a deadline passes.

07

Who is responsible for what

The division below is how we work in the absence of a different written arrangement. It is deliberately weighted towards you on matters of fact, because facts about your business are yours to state.

Where you have engaged us for campaign management, this sits alongside the wider allocation of control described in our agency and client relationship page. It supplements that page; it does not replace it.

08

The decision belongs to the platform

Every advertising platform decides for itself whether an advertiser is verified, what evidence it will accept, how long a review takes and whether a decision is revisited later. We see no more of that process than the account is shown, and we have no ability to influence it.

  • We cannot guarantee that a verification will succeed, or that it will conclude within any period.
  • We cannot obtain an exception, expedite a review or escalate outside the routes the platform publishes.
  • A verification granted today may be reviewed, suspended or withdrawn later on the platform's own criteria.
  • A rejection is not by itself evidence that anything was done wrongly, but we will read it with you and tell you honestly what we think it means.

Assistance is not endorsement

Helping you through a verification programme does not make us certified, accredited, approved or authorised by anyone. MNF Infotech is the trade name of a proprietorship owned by Nancy Gopal Savaliya, registered in Surat, Gujarat, India, under GSTIN 24HQXPB6184C1ZK. It is an independent service provider and is not a partner, agent, reseller or authorised representative of Google, Apple, Amazon, Meta or any other platform. Those names appear here only to describe the services we work with.

The accuracy of everything submitted remains the advertiser's responsibility. You are the only party that knows whether your own records are true and current, and platforms hold the advertiser — not the agency — to account for what its account submits.

09

What makes verification go badly

Most failed verifications we see are not caused by anything dishonest. They are caused by a business whose paperwork has not kept pace with the business itself. Three patterns account for the majority.

A mismatch between the site, the registration and the account
The advertising account was opened under a trading name, the registration is in the proprietor's legal name, and the website shows a third variation. All three may be entirely legitimate; to a reviewer reading them side by side they look like three different businesses.
A landing page that does not describe the advertised business
The advertisement promotes a service the destination page barely mentions, or the page is a bare form with no statement of who stands behind it. A reviewer cannot connect the advertiser to the offer, so the connection is treated as unproven.
Missing or generic contact information
No business address anywhere on the site, no named business behind it, a free webmail address on a domain that is not yours, or a contact page that resolves to a form and nothing else.

The remedy in each case is the same, and it is entirely legitimate: make the real information consistent, and make it complete. Publish the legal name alongside the trading name. Put a current address and a working business email where a visitor can find them. Make the destination page actually describe the business and the offer being advertised. Align the account name with the entity that is genuinely advertising.

None of that is done for the reviewer alone. It is the same information a cautious customer, a finance reviewer or a payment provider looks for, and we would recommend it whether or not a platform had asked.

Raising a question or a concern

If you have been asked to verify and are not sure what is being requested, send us the request as you received it, in full, and we will tell you what we think it means and what we can and cannot help with.

If you believe something inaccurate has been submitted from an account we manage, tell us immediately. We will stop, review our record of what was sent, and correct the position with the platform.

Write to contact@mnfinfotech.com, or to MNF INFOTECH, 1st Floor, Plot No 37, Marutidham Bunglows, Gurukul Road, Near ABC Circle Sarthana, Nana Varachha, Surat, Gujarat 395006, India. We have no published telephone number; verification matters are handled in writing so that a record of them exists.

This page describes our own practice, not any platform policy. Where a platform's published requirement differs from anything written here, that requirement governs what the platform will accept. This page is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Surat, Gujarat have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
